A new Eurobarometer survey published on Monday 3 June shows that the European public sees the EU as being better prepared to deal with major crises than it was five years ago.
69% of respondents said that European responses to natural disasters, such as earthquakes or forest fires, are “effective” or “very effective”.
61% said the same about the EU’s response to health emergencies such as Covid-19, swine flu and bird flu.
