The future of the regulation on nature restoration (see EUROPE B13376A14) became significantly more uncertain on Friday 22 March, when the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union failed to find a qualified majority among the 27 Member States to give the green light to the interinstitutional agreement on the subject.
