Some 100 companies have already signed up to European Alliance on Small Modular Reactors

On Friday 22 March, the European Commission brought together stakeholders in small modular reactor (SMR) and advanced modular reactor (AMR) technologies as part of the brand new dedicated Alliance launched on 9 February (see EUROPE B13347A5), focusing on the need for public and private funding, manpower and public acceptance.

This “dissemination” event is taking place the day after the first world summit devoted to nuclear energy, in Brussels (see EUROPE B13376A5).
