On Monday 11 March, the European Commission adopted a new standardised method for measuring the presence of microplastics in water, as calculation methods still differ widely between the EU27. It also adopted a delegated act on the reuse of water and a notice to help Member States better define the “good environmental status” of the seas and comply with threshold values designed to ensure the sustainable use of resources.
