08/02/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 6 February, Adina Vălean, the European Commissioner for Transport, and Andrei Spînu, the Moldovan Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, began a high-level dialogue on transport. It will help to strengthen connections between all modes of transport and move towards sustainable and digital transformation. The first high-level meeting will be held on Monday 19 February. Key items on the agenda will be future work to improve transport links between the EU and Moldova, aligned with EU standards, and ongoing cooperation on solidarity lanes to maintain the flow of goods from Moldova and Ukraine despite Russia’s war of aggression. This dialogue “will further deepen relations between the EU and Moldova”, according to Ms Vălean. (AD)
