Irregularities during elections in Serbia – MEPs call for EU funding to be suspended, arguing serious rule of law violations

08/02/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 8 February, the European Parliament adopted a resolution in which it found that Serbia had not respected its commitments to “free and fair” elections (461 votes in favour, 53 against and 43 abstentions) (see EUROPE B13345A42) during the last legislative elections, in which irregularities were noted by international observers.
