Alliance announces biggest exercise in decades

18/01/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 18 January, the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), US General Christopher Cavoli, announced the launch of Exercise Steadfast Defendor 2024, which will run from February to May. It will be “the largest exercise for decades, with around 90,000 soldiers from the 31 Allies and Sweden”, he announced at the end of the meeting of NATO Chiefs of Defence.
