11/12/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Saturday 9 December, the European External Action Service (EEAS) welcomed the signing of a commercial contract between the Kosovar energy company KEDS and the Serbian company Elektrosever to supply and bill for electricity used in northern Kosovo. This agreement will allow Elektrosever to supply electricity to the four Serb-majority municipalities in the north of the country, putting an end to a hitherto unregulated practice. According to the EU diplomatic service, this is an “important step towards full implementation” of the Energy Roadmap, approved in June 2022 (see EUROPE 12976/12), which is intended to help implement the energy agreements reached in 2013 and 2015.
