Revision of EU budget, Charles Michel wants to reallocate almost €13 billion

The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, has regained control of the negotiations for a mid-term review of the 2021-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF). In an attempt to reach an agreement between the EU27 ahead of the summit on Thursday 14 and Friday 15 December, on Sunday 10 December he presented a revised draft MFF consisting of linear cuts and redeployment of funds totalling €12.8 billion.
