Environmental economic accounts, European Parliament approves extension of statistics to be provided

The European Parliament approved, on Thursday 9 November (449 votes in favour, 102 against and 41 abstentions), the Commission’s proposal to extend the scope of European Regulation (EU) 691/2011 on European environmental economic accounts, with the goal of better meeting the statistical needs of EU environmental policy(see EUROPE B12990A10).
