Amazon goes to EU General Court to challenge Commission’s designation of it as a ‘very large online platform’ for the purposes of DSA

12/07/23 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 11 July, US digital giant Amazon went to the EU General Court to challenge its designation by the European Commission as a ‘very large online platform’ under the Digital Services Act (DSA) (see EUROPE B13064A18). This designation would oblige the multinational to comply, from 25 August, with the stricter rules of this legislation, which applies to platforms used by at least 45 million monthly users in the EU.
