At its meeting on 19 June 2023, the Council of the EU’s Working Party on Eastern Europe and Central Asia (COEST) noted the intention of the European External Action Service (EEAS) to begin negotiations on a non-binding instrument in the form of a joint roadmap on deepening ties between the EU and Central Asia.
