The Swedish Presidency of the Council of the EU is hoping to rally the EU27 around its latest compromise (dated 23 June) on the Critical Raw Materials Act. The Member States’ Permanent Representatives to the EU (Coreper) will be asked to approve this text on Friday 30 June, the last day of the Swedish Presidency of the EU Council. They should also approve the opening of negotiations with the European Parliament, without going through ministers.
