At the Agriculture Council in Luxembourg on Monday 26 June, the Austrian, German and Dutch ministers called for an EU-wide ban on fur farming, echoing the European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI) ‘Fur Free Europe’.
A large majority of agriculture ministers supported this request, which also includes a ban on the trade of fur products (see EUROPE B13201A35).
