‘AI Act’, Brando Benifei plans to raise issue of its early partial implementation during next round of interinstitutional negotiations

At the EU Digital Summit in Brussels on Wednesday 21 June, Brando Benifei (S&D, Italian), co-rapporteur of the future legislation on artificial intelligence (AI Act) (see EUROPE B13204A27), confirmed that the first political negotiations between the European Parliament and the EU Council will take place on 18 July. The Italian MEP expects complex discussions on a number of subjects.
