Bulgaria authorised to implement a €32 million aid scheme to modernise rail transport

08/05/23 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Monday 8 May that it had authorised a €32 million (BGN 63 million) Bulgarian aid scheme to encourage the transfer of passenger and freight transport from road to rail, to remove technical obstacles to the cross-border interoperability of Bulgarian rail transport and to strengthen its competitiveness.
