Internal Market, European Commission proposes new rules for detergents

The European Commission proposed, on Friday 28 April, simplified, clearer and digital rules for detergents.

The proposal for a regulation on detergents and surfactants, amending regulation (EU) 2019/1020 and repealing regulation (EC) No 648/2004, aims to simplify and make more permanent the current rules in order to better protect health and the environment and ensure a better functioning of the single market for detergents, according to the Commission.
