20/04/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 19 April, after the European Parliament (see EUROPE B13164A12), the Committee of the Permanent Representatives of the Governments of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper) approved the provisional agreement on the regulation that will establish a Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). The EU Ministers of Agriculture and Fisheries are expected to formally adopt the text on Tuesday 25 April, allowing it to enter into force. (LM)
