17/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission closed its anti-dumping investigation into imports of Ukrainian hot-rolled flat iron or steel products on Friday 17 February. The European Steel Association, Eurofer, had withdrawn its request for a review of the measures with a view to their imminent expiry, given that the European market was no longer threatened by Ukrainian exports in the current context. These Ukrainian products were already free of anti-dumping duties as of 4 June 2022, when the EU took the decision to fully, albeit temporarily, liberalise trade with Ukraine, including lifting anti-dumping duties (see EUROPE 12965/11).
