08/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 8 February, the European Commission made a payment of €1.8 billion to Portugal under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). This payment includes €1.7 billion in grants and €109 million in loans, excluding pre-financing. On 30 September 2022, Portugal submitted to the Commission a second RRF payment claim of €1.8 billion covering 20 milestones and targets. The overall plan for Portugal’s recovery and resilience will be financed by €15.5 billion in grants and €2.7 billion in loans. Portugal has already received pre-financing of €2.2 billion in August 2021, followed by a first RRF payment of €1.16 billion in May 2022. (CG)
