Unified Patent Court announces postponement of transition period

07/12/2022 (Agence Europe) – The Unified Patent Court announced an “adjustment” to the timetable on its website on Monday 5 December. The start of the so-called ‘sunrise’ period, the transitional period allowing applicants to choose between the current system and the unified system, has been postponed by 2 months, to 1 March instead of 1 January as initially set out in the roadmap (see EUROPE B13038A13).
