European Parliament supports creation of three new own resources for EU

On Wednesday 23 November, the European Parliament adopted its position in favour of the creation of three new own resources for the EU budget.

The report by José Manuel Fernandes (EPP, Portuguese) and Valérie Hayer (Renew Europe, French), which amends the Commission’s proposal even though the European Parliament is only being consulted on this text, was adopted by a large majority (440 votes in favour, 117 against and 77 abstentions) (see EUROPE B13051A27).
