02/11/2022 (Agence Europe) – The EU “strongly condemned”, on Sunday 30 October, the new attack perpetrated the day before in Mogadishu by the terrorist group al-Shabaab. “These senseless attacks against innocent civilians including women and children only serve to remind us of the group’s barbarity towards its own people and reveals the true hypocrisy of its intent. The latest attack (...) only reinforces our commitment to stand with the people of Somalia and to hold to account those responsible for these cowardly and murderous attacks”, said the chief of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell. On Monday, the Co-Presidents of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly also “strongly condemned the double attack in the Somali capital”, adding that “those responsible for this heinous act will have to answer for their actions”.
