Four German regions adopt their Just Transition Plans, for a total of €2.5 billion

21/10/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 21 October, the European Commission approved the Just Transition Plans of four German regions. North Rhine-Westphalia will receive €680 million to switch from a coal-based industry to one based on renewable energy. In Brandenburg, €785 million will be used to support the diversification of the region’s economy.
