Spain and Nigeria to launch initiative on territorial resilience to drought at COP27

21/10/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 21 October, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez indicated that Spain and Nigeria will launch an initiative on the resistance of territories to drought at the UN climate conference COP27 (6-18 November in Sharm el Sheikh). It is important for the EU to go to COP27 with “its homework done”, namely with an interinstitutional agreement on the ‘Fit for 55’ package, he said after the European Council meeting.
