23/09/2022 (Agence Europe) – France’s Christiane Lambert (FNSEA) was unanimously re-elected for a second two-year term at the head of the Committee of Professional Agricultural Organisations of the EU (Copa). Six vice-presidents were (re)elected to Copa: Massimiliano Giansanti (Confagricoltura, Italian), Pedro Gallardo (ASAJA, Spanish), Mladen Jakopović (HPK, Croatian), Tim Cullinan (IFA, Irish), Marius Mihai Micu (AAC, Romanian) and Palle Borgström (LRF, Swedish). “We will have to deal with multiple crises. At the same time, the regulatory work around the Green Deal will enter its critical phase. Vigilance will be key to avoid hindering the adaptation and modernisation of the EU farming sector”, commented Ms Lambert (see EUROPE 13019/3). (LC)
