15/09/2022 (Agence Europe) – Co-President of the Greens/EFA group since 2016, the German Ska Keller, announced on Wednesday 14 September in Strasbourg that she is stepping down from her position. “After three great terms, I will not run again at the next European elections. This is a personal decision”, said the environmentalist MEP in a statement. She wants to put her successor in the best possible position for the European elections in 2024, convinced of the need to give more visibility to the “new generation”. Her fellow German Terry Reintke is said to be the favourite to succeed her. (MB)
