07/09/2022 (Agence Europe) – The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday 7 September that it had imposed sanctions on more European officials in retaliation for the EU’s measures. “In response to new restrictive measures against Russian individuals and legal entities, we expanded the list of individuals representing the EU institutions and its member countries who are banned from entering the territory of our country”, it explained in a statement. Without revealing the names, the ministry said they were senior EU officers, senior law enforcement officials from member states and representatives of European arms and military equipment manufacturers involved in supplying military products to Ukraine. “We remain steadfast in our determination to respond with unwavering resolve to any unfriendly acts targeted against Russia”, the ministry warned.
