This summer, forest fires in Europe generated highest level of pollution emissions in 15 years, according to Copernicus

07/09/2022 (Agence Europe) – This summer’s devastating forest fires in Europe caused the highest air pollution emissions in 15 years, the Copernicus Atmospheric Monitoring Service (CAMS) reported on Tuesday 6 September. CAMS has been monitoring the intensity and daily emissions of these fires in Europe and worldwide throughout the season, as well as their impacts on air quality. For example, total emissions from these fires in the EU and the UK between 1 June and 31 August 2022...
