European Parliament and Council of the EU formalise commitment to adopt ‘Pact on Migration and Asylum’ texts by February 2024

On Wednesday 7 September, the European Parliament and the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU formalised their roadmap on the ‘Pact on Migration and Asylum’, in which both parties commit to doing their utmost to adopt all the legislative texts of the ‘Pact on Migration and Asylum’ by February 2024, before the European elections are held in 2024 (see EUROPE B12998A10).

The roadmap therefore involves all the forthcoming EU Council Presidencies (Sweden, Spain, Belgium) as well...
