06/09/2022 (Agence Europe) – Eighteen news agencies from 11 Member States and six EU candidate countries opened a European newsroom in Brussels on Tuesday, 6 September (see EUROPE 12842/25). Led by the German agency dpa, the project aims to produce joint journalistic content and provide training for journalists from the participating agencies (AFP, Agerpres, ANSA, APA, Belga, BTA, Europapress, EFE, HINA, PAP, STA, TASR, ATA, FENA, MIA, Tanjug, and Ukrinform)—notably training on using electronic fact-checking tools.
