Green light for Greek support for installation of electricity storage facilities

The European Commission authorised a Greek measure on Monday 5 September with an estimated budget of €341 million to support the construction and operation of storage facilities in the electricity system.

The measure will be partly funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). It aims to enable the smooth integration of an increasing share of renewable energy from wind and solar sources into the Greek electricity system. The support will also contribute to the achievement of the...
