27/07/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 27 July, the European Commission approved a Slovenian aid scheme of €7,000 to support the fisheries sector in the context of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. This measure was approved under the state aid temporary crisis framework adopted by the European Commission on 23 March 2022 and amended on 20 July 2022. The support will take the form of direct grants. The aim is to cover part of the additional costs incurred by eligible beneficiaries due to increases in prices of energy, fuel and other raw materials due to the current geopolitical crisis. The Commission found that the aid will not exceed €75,000 per beneficiary and will be granted no later than 31 December 2022. (LC)
