ESMA reviews clearing and derivative trading obligations

11/07/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) launched on Monday 11 July a consultation exploring the extension of the scope of the Clearing Obligation (CO) and the Derivative Trading Obligation (DTO). The proposals in the consultation are based on the progress made with the benchmark transition in the interest rate derivatives market.
