European Commission approves new geographical indication from Hungary

11/07/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Monday 11 July that it had accepted the application for registration of the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) of ‘Derecske alma’ from Hungary. It is an apple grown in the Derecske region. ‘Derecske almas’ have a firm flesh, are low in acidity and are slightly sweet.
