French Presidency of EU Council proposes to move forward as soon as possible on modification of Eurojust’s mandate

On 25 April, the European Commission proposed to amend Eurojust’s mandate in order to facilitate investigations into war crimes, particularly in the context of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (see EUROPE B12938A9). The French Presidency of the Council of the EU (FPEU) circulated a document on Wednesday 27 April, of which EUROPE has a copy, which proposes a position to be adopted by the Member States.
