30/03/2022 (Agence Europe) – In the evening of Tuesday 29 March, the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the EU High Representative, Josep Borrell, both strongly condemned the terrorist attack that had taken place earlier that day in the suburbs of Tel Aviv (Israel), and left at least five people dead. A man, identified by media reports as a Palestinian who had served several years in prison and was driving around, shot at passers-by before being shot by police. This is the third such incident in a week where civilians have been attacked and killed. “Attacks against civilians are unacceptable and must stop”, the High Representative said in a statement, stressing the EU’s strong commitment to preventing and combating terrorism and violent extremism.
