30/03/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 30 March, Per Haugaard was appointed Head of the European Commission’s Representation in Copenhagen. He will act as the European Commission’s official representative in Denmark under the political authority of President Ursula von der Leyen. The date of entry into office will be determined at a later stage. The Dane has a career spanning almost 30 years at the European Commission, where he has held several key positions in the Secretariat-General and in various cabinets and services. Since 2019, Mr Haugaard has served as a Trade Advisor and member of President von der Leyen’s cabinet. Previously, he was Director at the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE), responsible for policy coordination since 2016. (LC)
