European Parliament approves €2.8 million in aid to Spanish employees made redundant by Nissan

09/03/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 8 March, the European Parliament approved a decision to grant €2.8 million in aid from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) to 450 workers made redundant in Spain. Nissan closed its production plant in Catalonia in 2021. The total estimated cost of these support measures is €3.3 million, of which 85% (€2.8 million) comes from the EGF.
