Baltic countries call for Ukraine’s electricity system to be synchronised with EU as soon as possible

The energy ministers of the three Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) issued a joint statement on Twitter on Wednesday 2 March, in which they encourage all EU Member States to urge the integration of Ukraine into the EU electricity grid.

This statement is dated 28 February, when the EU Member States energy ministers met for an extraordinary meeting on the energy aspects of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
