European Parliament calls for greater tax harmonisation in EU

16/02/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 16 February, MEPs adopted the recommendations of the report by Markus Ferber (EPP, Germany) on the impact of national tax reforms on the EU economy (see EUROPE B12891A16). With 469 votes in favour, 94 against and 137 abstentions, the European Parliament calls for greater tax harmonisation between Member States, either through better coordination or through EU action.
