04/01/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission approved, on Tuesday 4 January, under the EU Merger Regulation, the acquisition of joint control over certain activities of Suez S.A. (‘Le Nouveau Suez’) by Meridiam SAS, both based in France, and Global Infrastructure Management LLC, based in the US. New Suez manages some of Suez ‘s activities in the municipal water, non-hazardous waste and urban cleaning sectors in Africa, Asia, Australia, France, Italy, Poland and the Czech Republic. Meridiam and Global Infrastructure Management are investment funds (infrastructure in the energy and environment sectors). (LC)
