Brussels, 06/12/2021 (Agence Europe) – Several European right-wing nationalist forces, including France’s RN, Poland’s PiS and Hungary’s Fidesz, met on Saturday 4 December in Warsaw to confirm their alliance of ideas, but have not yet succeeded in creating a group in the European Parliament as some parties aim to do. In a joint statement, the forces involved denounced “the arbitrary application of European law, the circumvention and even the violation of the treaties” by the European institutions and recalled that the national sovereign institutions are the only ones to have “democratic legitimacy”. They advocate a new model of European cooperation that is not dominated by a “self-appointed” elite. The next meeting will take place next year in Spain. See: https://bit.ly/3367v2H (SP)
