Motor vehicles and toys top list of dangerous products notified in 2021 via Safety Gate rapid alert system

On Friday 3 December, the European Commission presented the preliminary data for 2021 for the EU’s rapid alert system for non-food dangerous products, which has recently been named ‘Safety Portal’. These data were, since 2003 and today, presented annually for the previous year (see EUROPE B12669A10). In 2021, more than 1,800 alerts between authorities in Member States have been notified through the system so far. Most of these alerts relate to motor vehicles or related products (27%)...
