A new EU ‘Health’ Council for more coordination in dealing with Covid-19 pandemic and possible future health crises

On Tuesday 7 December, EU health ministers will meet in Brussels for a final meeting under the Slovenian Presidency - a meeting that, although long overdue, is particularly timely.

The EU27 is facing a resurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic and is now faced with the appearance of the ‘Omicron’ variant(see EUROPE B12839A9, B12844A1).
