European Commission approves French support for offshore wind farm

30/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 30 November, the European Commission authorised French aid for an offshore wind farm in an area off the coast of Normandy. The wind farm will have a capacity of 1,000 to 1,050 megawatts (MW). It is expected to produce 4.5 terawatt hours (TWh) of renewable electricity each year for at least 20 years and save 1.8 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent per year.
