European Commission consults on setting a limit value for hexachlorobenzene, a persistent organic pollutant

09/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – A public consultation launched on 8 November is open until 6 December, on a draft European Commission delegated regulation to set a limit value for hexachlorobenzene (HCB), a substance used in pesticides. HCB is a persistent organic pollutant (POP) classified as a possible carcinogen and associated with dermal and neurotoxic effects.
