Work in European Parliament on cancer plan is progressing, including on sensitive issue of prevention

The European Parliament’s Special Committee on Combating Cancer (BECA) needed two meetings to review the 1,537 amendments tabled by the political groups to flesh out the report by Véronique Trillet-Lenoir (Renew Europe, France) on the Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan (see EUROPE B12764A9).

At the second and final meeting on Monday 8 November, Ms Trillet-Lenoir informed the committee about the parallel work on the text by the shadow rapporteurs. This work is progressing well, she said,...
