Court of Justice clarifies concept of working time

29/10/2021 (Agence Europe) – The period during which a worker undergoes vocational training imposed on them by their employer, which takes place on the premises of the training provider and during which the worker does not perform their usual duties, constitutes “working time” within the meaning of Directive (2003/88/EC) concerning certain aspects of the organisation of working time, the Court of Justice of the European Union ruled on Thursday 28 October (case C-909/19).
