EU and 11 Member States denounce new settlement announcements

The spokesperson for the European External Action Service (EEAS), and eleven Member States, denounced the Israeli authorities’ announcement on 27 October of the publication of tenders to construct more than 2,860 housing units in 30 settlements, including some in the heart of the West Bank.

Already on 24 October, Israel announced tenders for the construction of more than 1,300 housing units in the West Bank and East Jerusalem (see EUROPE B12819A28).
